Rentlor

Terms of Use

Effective 20 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Rentlor iOS app and the services behind it ("Rentlor", "we", "us"). By using Rentlor you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Rentlor is — and what it isn't

Rentlor is an organisational tool for property owners. It records the information you choose to enter, computes figures from that information, and helps you stay on top of dates, documents and tasks.

Not advice. Rentlor provides organisational tools and estimates, not legal, tax, financial, valuation, investment or insurance advice. All figures — including yields, health scores, scenarios and assistant answers — are estimates derived from your own records and stated assumptions. They may be incomplete or out of date. Always consult a qualified professional before material decisions such as buying, selling, refinancing, insuring or letting a property.

2. Your account

Some features (including the assistant) require signing in with Apple. You are responsible for the security of your device and Apple ID. You must be at least 18 to use Rentlor. You can sign out at any time in the app; signing out revokes that device's session.

3. Your data and your responsibility

Your portfolio records are stored on your device and belong to you. Rentlor's outputs are only as accurate as the information you enter — rents, balances, dates and valuations you record are treated as given. You are responsible for verifying figures before relying on them and for complying with the laws that apply to your tenancies, including deposit, safety and licensing obligations. A reminder from Rentlor (or the absence of one) does not discharge any legal duty.

4. The assistant

The assistant answers using the data you have chosen to share for that question, processed transiently on our servers (see the Privacy Policy). Its answers cite their sources and state their assumptions, and may still be wrong or incomplete. It can prepare — but never execute — actions; anything it drafts requires your explicit confirmation. Assistant use is subject to fair monthly limits that vary by plan.

5. Subscriptions

Rentlor is free to start with one property. Paid plans (Plus, Pro, Business) are auto-renewing subscriptions billed monthly or annually through your Apple ID — we never see or store payment details. Where offered, free trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change for future periods with notice through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Rentlor: no attempting to access other users' workspaces or data, no reverse-engineering or disrupting the service, no unlawful use, and no using the assistant to generate content that infringes others' rights. We may suspend access that threatens the service or other users.

7. Intellectual property

Rentlor, its design, brand and software remain ours or our licensors'. You keep all rights to the data you enter. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

8. Service changes and availability

We improve Rentlor continuously and may add, change or withdraw features (including assistant capabilities and plan limits for future periods). The service is provided "as is" and "as available"; we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses arising from decisions made in reliance on estimates or reminders, from inaccurate data you entered, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid for Rentlor in that period.

10. Ending use

You can stop using Rentlor and delete the app at any time; on-device data is removed with it. To ask us to delete your server-side account records, see the Privacy Policy. We may terminate these terms for serious or repeated breach.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes we'll give notice in the app or by other reasonable means; continuing to use Rentlor after changes take effect means you accept them.
